# Fork connector into an org-owned copy

`POST /connector/{slug}/fork`

## Request

Copies a catalog connector into this organization under a new slug and remembers the original as its upstream, so later changes can be pulled. Forking a connector the caller's restrictions block is refused, so a fork cannot be used to get around a restriction. A remote MCP connector (`kind: 'remote_mcp'`) cannot be forked (`409 connector_not_forkable`). Requires `connector:create`.
