# Request Password Reset

`POST /v1/auth/password-reset`

## Request

Start a password reset. **Always** 202, whether or not the address has an
account — the response must not reveal that, and neither must the timing of a
mail arriving, which is why the send happens post-response like the others.
Re-requesting inside the cooldown is also a silent no-op.
