# Delete a guest

`DELETE /v1/guests/{guestId}/`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.educaplay.com`
- URL: `https://api.educaplay.com/v1/guests/{guestId}/`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Permanently deletes the guest and, if it had been linked to a player account through the access code, that linked player account too.

## Path parameters

- `guestId` integer, required

## Response `200`

Guest deleted.

## Other responses

- `401`: Authentication is missing or the Bearer token is invalid.
- `403`: Authentication is missing, the token is invalid, the authenticated user is not the owner of the requested resource, or the user does not have an Academic or Commercial subscription.
- `429`: The request rate limit for the account has been exceeded. Limits depend on the subscription plan (Basic 120, Advanced 300, Academic 600 and Commercial 1200 requests per minute) and are measured over a fixed 60 second window. Wait the number of seconds given in the `Retry-After` header before retrying.
