# List Speech Voices

`GET /v3/audio/voices`

## Request

List the voices accepted by the text-to-speech models, with language and gender.

Send a listed `id` (or its `name`) as `voice` to `POST /v3/audio/speech`. Each voice
carries the `provider/model` identifiers that accept it.

## Query parameters

- `model` string, nullable: Restrict to one model, e.g. 'openai/tts-1'. Accepts a model id or any of its active aliases. Default: every speech model available to you.
- `language` string, nullable: Keep voices speaking this language. A bare code ('fr') matches every region; 'fr-CA' matches that locale only. Multilingual voices are always kept.
- `gender` 'male' | 'female' | 'unknown', nullable: Keep voices of this gender.

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- VoiceListResponse: List of voices.
  - `object` 'list': Object type
  - `data` VoiceObject[], required: Voices, sorted by provider then name.
    - `id` string, required: Voice identifier. Send this value as `voice`.
    - `object` 'voice': Object type
    - `name` string, required: Display name. Also accepted as `voice`, case-insensitively.
    - `provider` string, required: Provider that serves the voice.
    - `models` string[], required: Model identifiers that accept this voice, in this endpoint's id format.
    - `languages` string[], required: BCP-47 locales the voice speaks. Empty when the voice is multilingual.
    - `gender` 'male' | 'female' | 'unknown', required: Voice gender as published by the provider.
    - `preview_url` string, nullable: Provider-hosted audio sample, when available.
    - `default` boolean: Used when a request omits `voice` for one of these models.
