# Create a gift card

`POST /gift-vouchers`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.ecommerceapi.uk/v1`
- URL: `https://api.ecommerceapi.uk/v1/gift-vouchers`
- Auth: HTTP basic

Creates a new gift card.

## Request body

- GiftCardCreate
  - `code` string, required: The unique code of the gift card.
  - `amount` number, float, required: The value of the gift card.
  - `amountUsed` number, float, required: The amount of the gift card that has been used.

## Response `201`

Gift card created successfully.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request data.
- `401`: Unauthorized. Invalid or missing API key.
- `500`: Server error.
