# Update a business nexus item

`PUT /nexuses/{id}`

## Request

Updates an existing business nexus item by ID. The state and type cannot be changed.

## Path parameters

- `id` integer, required

## Request body

- BusinessNexusUpdate
  - `name` string: The name of the nexus.
  - `addressLine1` string: Primary address line.
  - `addressLine2` string: Secondary address line.
  - `city` string: City of the nexus.
  - `postcode` string: Postcode of the nexus.
  - `salesTaxId` string: Sales tax identification number.

## Response `200`

Business nexus item updated successfully.

- BusinessNexus
  - `id` integer: Unique identifier for the business nexus item.
  - `countryId` integer: Identifier for the country.
  - `stateId` integer: Identifier for the state.
  - `type` string: Type of nexus ('physical' or 'economic').
  - `name` string: The name of the nexus.
  - `addressLine1` string: Primary address line.
  - `addressLine2` string: Secondary address line.
  - `city` string: City of the nexus.
  - `postcode` string: Postcode of the nexus.
  - `salesTaxId` string: Sales tax identification number.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request data.
- `401`: Unauthorized. Invalid or missing API key.
- `404`: Business nexus item not found.
- `500`: Server error.
