# Update a domain.

`POST /domain/{domain}`

## Path parameters

- `domain` string, required

## Request body

- UpdateDomainRequest — The data used to define the updates to make to a target domain.
  - `shortName` string — The domain's short name. Skip this if no update should be made.
  - `fullName` string — The domain's full name. Skip this if no update should be made.
  - `description` string — The domain's description. Skip this if no update should be made or provide as an empty string to remove the current value.
  - `reportMetadata` string — The domain's additional metadata for XML reports.

## Response `200`

Domain updated.

- `429` — Call rate limit threshold exceeded for this operation.
- `default` — The received request was invalid.
