# Background Sync

`POST /api/sync/background`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.earmarkiq.app` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.earmarkiq.app/api/sync/background`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Lightweight background sync. Called periodically by mobile background fetch.
Rate limited to 1 call per 10 minutes per user.
Per-user lock prevents concurrent sync from foreground burst (~40 simultaneous requests).
