# Bulk Update Budgets

`PATCH /api/budgets/bulk-update`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.earmarkiq.app` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Update or create budgets for multiple categories in one call.

For each item: if a budget exists for the category, update its limit;
otherwise create a new monthly budget with the suggested limit.

## Request body

- BulkBudgetItem[]
  - `category` string, required
  - `new_limit` union, required
    - number
    - string

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- BulkBudgetUpdateResponse
  - `updated` integer, required
  - `created` integer, required
