# Create an empty design

`POST /designs`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.dynapictures.com`
- URL: `https://api.dynapictures.com/designs`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Creates a design with an empty canvas. Add layers to it, then render it with `POST /designs/{uid}`.

## Request body

- CreateDesignRequest
  - `workspaceUid` string, required: The workspace to create the design in.
  - `name` string, required: The name of the design.
  - `width` integer: Canvas width in pixels.
  - `height` integer: Canvas height in pixels.

## Response `200`

The new design.

- Design
  - `uid` string, required: The ID of the new design.
  - `name` string, required: The name of the design.
  - `width` integer, required: Canvas width in pixels.
  - `height` integer, required: Canvas height in pixels.

## Other responses

- `400`: The request is invalid. `message` says why.
- `401`: The API key is missing or wrong.
- `403`: The plan limit is reached, the trial has expired, or the key has no access to this resource.
