# Record the What's New announcement the caller has seen.

`PATCH /v1/me/whats-new`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://localhost:8080`
- URL: `http://localhost:8080/v1/me/whats-new`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in cookie `dvt_session`
  - HTTP bearer

Records the id of the latest What's New feature announcement the calling user has dismissed or finished. Idempotent (last-write-wins). Announcement ids are owned by the web client's bundled announcement config; the server only sanity-checks the shape. See `GET /v1/me` → `lastSeenWhatsNew`.

## Request body

- object
  - `id` string, required: Announcement id, e.g. "2026-07-exports" (lowercase alphanumeric/hyphen).

## Response `204`

The announcement was recorded as seen (idempotent).

## Other responses

- `400`: Missing or malformed announcement id.
- `401`: Missing, invalid, or expired session.
