# Mark a Getting Started step engaged.

`PATCH /v1/me/onboarding`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://localhost:8080`
- URL: `http://localhost:8080/v1/me/onboarding`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in cookie `dvt_session`
  - HTTP bearer

Marks one Getting Started onboarding step engaged for the calling user (DVT-743). Idempotent (set-to-true). The client calls this when the user clicks/engages a step; once all steps are engaged the onboarding surfaces auto-retire. See `GET /v1/me` → `onboarding`.

  - `step` 'explored' | 'connected' | 'asked' | 'warehouse' | 'welcomed', required

## Response `204`

The step was recorded (idempotent — already-set is also 204).

## Other responses

- `400`: Missing or unknown step.
- `401`: Missing, invalid, or expired session.
