# Star a dashboard.

`PUT /v1/me/favorites/{dashboardId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://localhost:8080`
- URL: `http://localhost:8080/v1/me/favorites/{dashboardId}`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in cookie `dvt_session`
  - HTTP bearer

Idempotent. Not role-gated — favorites are personal and mutate no shared
state; viewers pinning the dashboards they read is the core use case. The
dashboard must be live in the caller's org and readable by the caller;
unreadable, cross-tenant and nonexistent dashboards are indistinguishable
404s, never 403.

## Response `204`

Favorited (idempotent).

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing, invalid, or expired session.
- `404`: Resource does not exist.
