# Record the caller's AI-assistant setup answers.

`PATCH /v1/me/assistant-setup`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://localhost:8080`
- URL: `http://localhost:8080/v1/me/assistant-setup`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in cookie `dvt_session`
  - HTTP bearer

Partially updates the calling user's AI-assistant chooser state (DVT-5116), stored per user. Only the fields sent are written; unsent fields keep their stored value. At least one field is required. When `tool` is sent, an audit row (`user.assistant_selected`, metadata `{tool, isSnowflakeAdmin}`) records the choice. Not edition-gated. See `GET /v1/me` → `assistantSetup`.

## Request body

- object
  - `tool` 'snowflake_intelligence' | 'cortex_code' | 'claude_desktop' | 'claude_code': The AI assistant the user chose to set up.
  - `isSnowflakeAdmin` boolean: The user's own answer to "are you a Snowflake admin?".
  - `popupDismissed` boolean: True once the chooser pop-up was skipped, closed, or completed.

## Response `204`

The answers were recorded.

## Other responses

- `400`: No known field set, an unknown tool, or a malformed body.
- `401`: Missing, invalid, or expired session.
