# Delete a comment.

`DELETE /v1/dashboards/{id}/comments/{commentId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://localhost:8080`
- URL: `http://localhost:8080/v1/dashboards/{id}/comments/{commentId}`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in cookie `dvt_session`
  - HTTP bearer

Soft-deletes the comment. Author or an organization admin/owner only. Deleting a
top-level thread cascades to its live replies (deleted as a unit, one transaction).
Idempotent: deleting an already-deleted (or cross-tenant) comment returns 404.

## Response `204`

Deleted.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing, invalid, or expired session.
- `403`: The caller's role does not permit this action.
- `404`: Resource does not exist.
