# End the session.

`GET /auth/logout`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://localhost:8080`
- URL: `http://localhost:8080/auth/logout`
- Auth: none required

Clears the session cookie and redirects to the app.

Mode-conditional: when no dvt-owned session flow is configured (snowflake mode, or local
dev with auth disabled) there is no session to end, so no handler is mounted and this path
answers `303` to the SPA root instead (DVT-3463). Nothing is cleared and no sign-out
occurs — in snowflake mode the ingress owns the identity.

## Other responses

- `302`: Session cleared; redirect to the app.
- `303`: No dvt-owned session exists to end (snowflake mode or auth-disabled dev); redirect to the SPA root.
