# Start Run

`POST /v2/teams/{teamId}/runs`

## Request

Start a new agent run. Returns immediately with run info - does not wait for completion.

## Path parameters

- `teamId` string, required

## Request body

- object
  - `agent_id` string, uuid, required: The agent ID to run
  - `message` string: Optional initial message to start the run with (e.g. a trigger payload or user instruction)
  - `sandbox_id` string: Optional sandbox ID with pre-uploaded files
  - `webhook_url` string, uri: Webhook URL to POST events to (human_request, run_completed, run_failed, run_interrupted)

  - `run` object, required: The newly created run
    - `id` string, uuid, required: Unique run identifier
    - `agent_id` string, uuid, required: ID of the agent being run
    - `build_id` string, uuid, required: ID of the build being run
    - `status` string, required: Current run status
    - `source` string, nullable, required: How the run was initiated
    - `sandbox_id` string, nullable, required: The sandbox ID for this run
    - `started_at` string, nullable, required: ISO 8601 timestamp when the run started
    - `completed_at` string, nullable, required: ISO 8601 timestamp when the run completed
    - `created_at` string, required: ISO 8601 timestamp when the run was created
    - `updated_at` string, required: ISO 8601 timestamp when the run was last updated
    - `human_in_the_loop_enabled` boolean, required: Whether this agent can request human input during execution
