# Post Run Message

`POST /v2/runs/{run_id}/messages`

Post a message to an agent run. This will persist the message and resume the agent execution if the run is in a resumable state (waiting, completed, or interrupted).

- `run_id` string, uuid, required

  - `message` string, required: The message content to send to the agent

    - `id` string, required: Unique message identifier
    - `type` string, required: Message type
    - `role` string, required: Sender role
    - `timestamp` string, required: ISO 8601 timestamp when the message was posted
    - `text_content` string, required: Plain text content of the message
