# Team stats

`POST /v1/get_team_stats`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://mcp.dunkapi.com`
- URL: `https://mcp.dunkapi.com/v1/get_team_stats`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `x-api-key`
  - HTTP bearer

Use for team efficiency for a season: pace, offensive, defensive and net rating per 100 possessions, the four factors (eFG%, turnover %, offensive rebound %, free throw rate) and three-point rate, from every box score. Costs 5 credits.

## Request body

- object
  - `season` union: Season by the year it ends: 2025 = 2024-25 (default: the latest).
    - number
    - string
  - `season_type` 'regular' | 'postseason' | 'play_in' | 'preseason'
  - `team` string: One team (id or abbreviation).
  - `league` 'nba' | 'wnba' | 'ncaam' | 'ncaaw': League. Defaults to nba. One of: nba, wnba, ncaam, ncaaw.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid arguments.
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
