# Backup site

`POST /api/sites/multiscreen/backups/{site_name}/create`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.duda.co`

- Auth: HTTP basic

Creates a backup of a site's current state, for example as a restore point before editing starts or after work is finished. A site keeps up to 50 manual backups, plus up to 50 created automatically on publish.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `402`: Payment Required
- `405`: Method Not Allowed
- `429`: Too many requests. The rate limit was exceeded.
- `500`: Internal Server Error
