# Create manual payment method

`POST /api/sites/multiscreen/{site_name}/ecommerce/manual-payment-methods`

Creates a manual payment method from a display name and an optional customer-facing HTML description. Returns the created payment method.

- `site_name` string, required

## Request body

- ExternalCreateManualPaymentMethodRequestDto
  - `name` string, required: Display name of the payment method.
  - `description_html` string, nullable: Customer-facing HTML description of the payment method. Sanitized server-side.

## Response `201`

  - `id` string: Identifier of the manual payment method. Prefixed with mpm_
  - `name` string: Display name of the payment method.
  - `description_html` string, nullable: Customer-facing HTML description of the payment method.

- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: Not Found
- `422`: Unprocessable Content
- `429`: Too many requests. The rate limit was exceeded.
