# Add a competitor brand

`POST /api/sites/multiscreen/{site_name}/aeo/brands`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.duda.co`

- Auth: HTTP basic

Adds a competitor brand to track, and returns its ID. A project can track up to 10 competitors. The site's own brand is created with the project and can't be added here.

## Path parameters

- `site_name` string, required

## Request body

- ApiAeoBrandCreateReq
  - `domain` string, required: The competitor's domain. Normalized to a lowercase hostname: a scheme, path and leading `www.` are removed. Must not be used by another competitor.
  - `name` string, required: Competitor brand name, up to 100 characters.

## Response `201`

Created

- ApiAeoIdResp
  - `id` string: ID of the created resource.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request. `error_code` is `InvalidInput` and `errors` is empty. - `name` or `domain` is missing or invalid, another competitor already uses the domain, or the project already tracks 10 competitors.
- `401`: Unauthorized. The credentials are missing or invalid.
- `403`: Forbidden. `error_code` is `AccessForbidden`, and `errors[0].code` names the cause: - No code (`errors` is empty): the caller can't access the site. - `AeoPlanNotFound`: the account has no active AEO plan.
- `404`: Not found. `error_code` is `ResourceNotExist`, and `errors[0].code` names the cause: - `AeoProjectNotFound`: the site has no AEO project.
- `409`: Conflict. `error_code` is `InvalidState` and `errors` is empty. - The brands are being recalculated after a recent change. Retry after the number of seconds in the `Retry-After` header.
- `429`: Too many requests. The rate limit was exceeded.
