# Refresh the e-invoice filing of an invoice

`POST /public/v2/e-invoicing/invoices/{number}/refresh/`

Read the newest result of the started e-invoice filing of the invoice with this number from the authority, and return the filing. A filing that has no engine job yet stays as it is. DualEntry also reads the result on its own. Call this route when you need the result now. You need the invoice view permission.

The request fails in these cases:

- The request fails with `404` when the invoice has no filing.
- The request fails with `503` and `error_code` `e_invoicing_engine` when the e-invoicing engine does not answer.
- The request fails with `503` and `error_code` `e_invoicing_setup` when the setup of the country is broken.
- The request fails with `502` and `error_code` `e_invoicing_engine` when the engine refuses the request.
- The request fails with `402` before it checks the permission, when the organization has no e-invoicing subscription.

  - `authority_reference` string, nullable: The ID that the agency or the network gave the document: the SAT UUID, the CAE or the SDI ID, or the Peppol message ID of a Peppol delivery. A Peppol message ID proves the delivery, not a verdict of the receiver. Null until the filing is cleared, so a filing that waits after a retry does not show the ID of the earlier attempt. Null when the engine gave no ID.
