# On-demand backup

`POST /sqlserver/v2/orgs/{orgID}/jobs/backupNow`

## Request

- Base URL: `//apis.druva.com/phoenix` (relative, and the document’s source URL is not known)
- URL: `//apis.druva.com/phoenix/sqlserver/v2/orgs/{orgID}/jobs/backupNow`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Initiates an on-demand backup for a SQL Server backup set.

## Path parameters

- `orgID` integer, required

## Request body

- SQLBackupNowRequestParams: SQLBackupNowRequestParams is the input to the BackupNow job request
  - `backupType` 'FULL' | 'DIFF' | 'LOG': Specify the type of backup. Set this parameter to one of the following values: FULL, DIFF, LOG.
  - `backupsetID` integer: Specify the ID of your backup set. Get the ID using the 'List backup sets' API.

## Response `200`

Success

- SQLBackupNowResponse: SQLBackupNowResponse is the response to the BackupNow job request
  - `jobID` integer: A unique identification number associated with the job.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request
- `401`: The request did not include an authentication token or the authentication token was expired.
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: The requested resource was not found.
- `500`: The request was not processed due to an internal error in Cloud.
