# Delete the Curated Snapshot.

`DELETE /curatedsnapshot/v1/snapshots`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://apis.druva.com/realize`
- URL: `https://apis.druva.com/realize/curatedsnapshot/v1/snapshots`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Deletes the Curated Snapshot(s).

## Request body

- CSDeleteParams
  - `virtualSnapshotIDs` string, required: Specify the virtualSnapshotID of Curated Snapshot that you want to delete. Get the virtualSnapshotID using the 'List all the Curated Snapshots.' API.
  - `deleteReason` string: The reason for deletion.

## Response `200`

OK

- CSExpireSnapshotsResponse
  - `expiredSnapshots` object[]
    - `virtualSnapshotID` string: Base-64 encoded name of Curated Snapshot created by the job.
    - `isSucessful` boolean: Curated Snapshot deletion is successful.
    - `reason` string: Reason for failure in Curated Snapshot deletion.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request
- `401`: The request either did not include an authentication token, or you have provided an expired authentication token.
- `404`: The requested resource was not found.
- `500`: Internal Server Error
