# Email Verifier

`POST /email-verifier`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.dropleads.io`
- URL: `https://api.dropleads.io/email-verifier`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Verify the deliverability of a single email address.

**Required fields:** `email`

**Credits:** 0.1 credits for `valid` or `invalid` results. No credits charged for `catch_all` or `unknown`.

  - `email` string, email, required: Email address to verify.

## Response `200`

Successful response

- object
  - `email` string: Echoed email address.
  - `status` 'valid' | 'invalid' | 'catch_all' | 'unknown': Verification result.
  - `mx_record` string: MX record of the email domain.
  - `mx_provider` string: Email provider name.
  - `credits_charged` number: Credits deducted. 0.1 for valid/invalid, 0 for catch_all/unknown.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request - missing or invalid fields
- `401`: Unauthorized - missing or invalid API key
- `402`: Insufficient credits
- `500`: Internal server error
