# Email Finder

`POST /email-finder`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.dropleads.io`
- URL: `https://api.dropleads.io/email-finder`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Find a work email for a person given their name and company information.

**Required fields:** `first_name`, `last_name`, and at least one of `company_domain` or `company_name`.

**Credits:** 1 credit per successful lookup. No credits charged when status is `not_found`.

  - `first_name` string, required: Person's first name.
  - `last_name` string, required: Person's last name.
  - `company_domain` string: Company website or domain. At least one of `company_domain` or `company_name` is required.
  - `company_name` string: Company name. At least one of `company_domain` or `company_name` is required.

## Response `200`

Successful response

- object
  - `email` string, nullable: Found email address, or `null` if not found.
  - `status` 'valid' | 'invalid' | 'catch_all' | 'unknown' | 'not_found': Verification status of the found email.
  - `first_name` string: Echoed first name.
  - `last_name` string: Echoed last name.
  - `company_domain` string, nullable: Echoed company domain.
  - `company_name` string, nullable: Company name (may be `null` if only domain was provided).
  - `company_size` string, nullable: Company size range, if available.
  - `industry` string, nullable: Company industry, if available.
  - `mx_record` string: MX record of the email domain.
  - `mx_provider` string: Email provider name.
  - `credits_charged` number: Credits deducted for this request. 0 if not found.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request - missing or invalid fields
- `401`: Unauthorized - missing or invalid API key
- `402`: Insufficient credits
- `500`: Internal server error
