# Platform-wide record counts

`GET /api/stats`

## Request

Counts of well records, directory contractors and covered states as published on the site. Constants verified against production and refreshed with the site, not live queries.

## Response `200`

Current published counts.

- PlatformStats
  - `wells` integer, required: Well records in the public dataset.
  - `contractors` integer, required: Companies in the driller directory.
  - `states` integer, required
  - `updated_at` string, date-time, required: When this response was produced (the counts themselves are refreshed with the site).

## Other responses

- `429`: Too many requests from this IP address. Wait the number of seconds in Retry-After.
