# Re-run the background asset copy for an import

`POST /api/v1/sites/{slug}/import/warm`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.dotsy.ai`

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Starts the background job that copies an import's mirrored assets (images, fonts, scripts from other hosts) into Dotsy. Use it when an import's `externalAssets` ended `partial` or `aborted`, or after your plan's mirror limits changed. It is safe to repeat: while a copy is running it answers 200 `alreadyRunning` and starts nothing. The site must have been imported with `assetMirror: full`.

- WarmImportRequest: Where the assets come from.
  - `sourceUrl` string, required: The original import origin. The asset copy fetches from it.

## Response `200`

A copy is already running. Nothing was started.

## Other responses

- `202`: The copy job started.
- `400`: `sourceUrl` is missing (`source_url_required`).
- `401`: Missing or invalid credentials.
- `403`: The role or token cannot use imports (guest token, viewer, read-only key, or a key scoped to other sites).
- `404`: No such site (`not_found`), or it has no asset manifest to copy from (`no_warm_manifest`).
- `409`: Nothing to copy: mirroring is off, the plan's cap is reached, or every asset is already copied (`nothing_to_warm`).
- `503`: Background jobs are not available on this server (`workflows_unavailable`).
