# Accept a site invite

`POST /api/v1/invites/{token}/accept`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.dotsy.ai`
- URL: `https://api.dotsy.ai/api/v1/invites/{token}/accept`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Gives the signed-in person access to the invited site. It needs a signed-in user (a dashboard session or an OAuth token), not a `pga_` key, and their verified email must match the address that was invited.

- `token` string, required

## Response `200`

Access was granted.

  - `ok` true, required
  - `siteSlug` string, required
  - `role` 'editor' | 'viewer', required

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid credentials.
- `403`: `session_required`: sign in as a person, since an API key can't accept. `invite_email_mismatch`: the signed-in email is not the invited one. `email_not_verified`: verify your email first.
- `404`: `invite_not_found`: the token matches no invite. `site_not_found`: the site no longer exists.
- `409`: `invite_already_accepted`.
- `410`: `invite_expired`: ask the owner for a new invite.
