# Remove a member from the workspace

`DELETE /api/v1/account/workspace-members/{memberId}`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Removes the person from the active workspace. Only a workspace Owner or Admin can. A workspace always keeps at least one owner.

- `memberId` string, required

## Response `200`

The member was removed.

## Other responses

- `400`: The removal was refused (for example, the last owner can't be removed).
- `401`: Missing or invalid credentials.
- `403`: `workspace_admin_required`: only a workspace Owner or Admin can remove people.
