# Start sensor

`POST /api/v1/device/sensors/{name}/start`

Starts collecting data from the named sensor. Readings are delivered via the WebSocket sensor channel.

## Path parameters

- `name` string, required

## Query parameters

- `speed` string

## Response `200`

Sensor started.

- SensorInfo — unresolved $ref

## Other responses

- `404` — Resource not found.
- `500` — Internal server error.
- `501` — Capability not implemented by the connected backend.
