# Update notification preferences

`PUT /api/notifications/preferences`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://domani.run`
- URL: `https://domani.run/api/notifications/preferences`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Update notification preferences for specific categories and channels.

Requires `notifications:read` scope.

## Request body

- object: Provide `preferences` and/or `expiry_alert_days`.
  - `preferences` object[]
    - `category` 'domains' | 'transfers' | 'marketplace' | 'email' | 'inquiries', required
    - `channel` 'in_app' | 'email', required
    - `enabled` boolean, required
  - `expiry_alert_days` integer[]: Days-before-expiry to receive renewal reminders. Empty array = no expiry reminders.

## Response `200`

Preferences updated

  - `ok` boolean

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded - wait and retry
