# Import older mail of a connected mailbox

`POST /api/emails/{address}/import`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://domani.run`
- URL: `https://domani.run/api/emails/{address}/import`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Widens the import to an earlier date: a new import run copies the mail between the new bound and the current one, in arrival order, under its own cost cap. Refused while an import scan is still running. Requires `email:write`.

  - `since` string, date-time, required: The new bound, earlier than the current one

## Response `200`

The new import run

- object
  - `import_run_id` string
  - `import_since` string, date-time
  - `import_until` string, date-time

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key
- `404`: No connected mailbox at this address
- `409`: The import already covers that date, an import is still running, or the connection is not active
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded - wait and retry
