# Send a probe through the forwarding rule

`POST /api/emails/{address}/connector/verify`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://domani.run`
- URL: `https://domani.run/api/emails/{address}/connector/verify`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Sends a mail to the connected inbox; when the forwarding rule brings it back to the forwarding address, the connection becomes active. Only for a connection by forwarding. Requires `email:write`.

The probe was sent

  - `forwarding_address` string, required

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key
- `404`: No forwarding connection at this address
- `409`: The connection was disconnected
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded - wait and retry
