# Get nameservers for a domain

`GET /api/domains/{domain}/nameservers`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://domani.run`
- URL: `https://domani.run/api/domains/{domain}/nameservers`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Returns the authoritative nameservers configured for a domain you own. If empty, DNS operations (parking, email, connect) will fail until nameservers are assigned.

Nameservers for the domain

  - `nameservers` string[]
  - `default_nameservers` string[], nullable: The nameservers the domain's zone is served from: the zone host when Domani hosts the zone there, otherwise the registrar's defaults (null if unknown)
  - `dns_provider` 'registrar' | 'cloudflare' | 'external': Who answers for the domain's zone: the registrar's own DNS, a zone Domani hosts on Cloudflare, or an external provider for an imported domain
  - `hint` string

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key
- `404`: Domain not found
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded - wait and retry
