# Provide EPP/auth code (seller)

`PATCH /api/deals/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://domani.run`
- URL: `https://domani.run/api/deals/{id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Seller provides the EPP/authorization code to initiate the domain transfer. The code is encrypted at rest and used to start the registrar transfer. Max 3 attempts.

Requires `deals:write` scope.

  - `auth_code` string, required: EPP/authorization code from the current registrar

## Response `200`

EPP code accepted, transfer initiated

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request parameters
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key
- `404`: Deal not found
- `409`: Invalid deal state for this operation
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded - wait and retry
