# Mark a Work item as opened

`POST /api/assistant/work-items/{id}/open`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://domani.run`
- URL: `https://domani.run/api/assistant/work-items/{id}/open`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Records that the owner opened this Work item at its current version, which clears its unread marker until the item changes again. Requires the assistant:write scope.

Opened marker recorded

  - `unread` boolean

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key
- `404`: Work item not found
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded - wait and retry
