# Stop an ingest

`POST /ingests/{id}/stop`

Currently only available for rtsp-pull ingests. Stops ingesting; the ingest status becomes `stopped` and the open ingest run is ended. Returns 400 `not_supported` for other ingest types and 409 `already_stopped` when the ingest is already stopped.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required — Ingest ID

## Response `204`

Ingest stopped
