# Charge a card

`POST /payment-intents/{paymentIntentId}/charge`

## Request

Allows you to charge a card later. This is available for merchant-initiated transactions only.

OK

- ChargeResponse: The charge response object.
  - `paymentIntentId` string, nullable: The unique identifier of the payment intent.
  - `status` 'Created' | 'Successful' | 'Declined' | 'Failed': Current capture status.
  - `message` string, nullable: The description of the operation.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Not found
