# Update a label

`PATCH /analytics/v1/labels/{id}`

Updates the label specified by the Id.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Request body

- UpdateLabelRequest — Request body for updating a label.
  - `name` string, nullable — The name of the label.
  - `color` 'blue' | 'skyBlue' | 'teal' | 'mint' | 'lime' | 'softYellow' | 'apricot' | 'lavender' | 'purple' | 'rosePink' | 'slateGrey', nullable — The color of the label.

## Response `200`

OK - Label updated.

- LabelListItem — Label metadata.
  - `id` string, required — The unique identifier of the label.
  - `name` string, required — The name of the label.
  - `color` 'blue' | 'skyBlue' | 'teal' | 'mint' | 'lime' | 'softYellow' | 'apricot' | 'lavender' | 'purple' | 'rosePink' | 'slateGrey', required — The color of the label.
  - `type` 'custom' | 'preset' — The type of the label (custom or preset).
  - `createTime` string, date-time — The time when the label was created.
  - `updateTime` string, date-time — The time when the label was last updated.

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad Request - The server cannot process the request, often due to a malformed request.
- `401` — Unauthorized - Invalid API key.
- `403` — Forbidden - The client is not authorized to perform the request.
- `404` — Not Found - The requested resource does not exist.
