# Create a patient

`POST /api/patients`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.dododentist.com`
- URL: `https://api.dododentist.com/api/patients`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP basic
  - API key in header `Authorization`

Creates a patient in your clinic. Requires the `patients:write` scope. Fires the `patient.created` webhook.

  - `email` string
  - `phone` string

## Response `200`

The created patient

- `403`: API key is missing the `patients:write` scope
