# Create a payment

`POST /api/payments`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.doctofam.com`
- URL: `https://api.doctofam.com/api/payments`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP basic
  - API key in header `Authorization`

Records a payment in your clinic and emits `payment.created` to your webhook subscriptions. Requires the `payments:write` scope.

## Response `200`

The created payment

## Other responses

- `403`: API key is missing the `payments:write` scope
