# Update verification state (sandbox only)

`PATCH /sandbox-tools/verifications/{verification-id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://sandbox.dlocal.com/kyc`
- URL: `https://sandbox.dlocal.com/kyc/sandbox-tools/verifications/{verification-id}`
- Auth: API key in header `X-Date` and API key in header `X-Login` and API key in header `X-Trans-Key` and API key in header `Authorization`

**Sandbox only.** Changes verification status while preserving realistic flow transitions, so you can simulate states and receive notifications.

Official reference uses host `sandbox.dlocal.com` and path `/kyc/sandbox-tools/verifications/{verification-id}`.

- `403`: Forbidden — authentication failed or unauthorized access
- `404`: Verification not found
- `500`: Internal server error
