# Update Project Device HMS Read Time

`PUT /openapi/v2.0/manage/api/v1/projects/{uuid}/topologies/hms`

Called when user clicks "Mark as Read" on "Project Device Topology"; updates specified device's HMS event read time to current time. Other online terminals in the same project and organization receive this read time update via real-time push channel; frontend can synchronously refresh red dot status, avoiding read-status misalignment during multi-user collaboration. Authentication: caller must be project member, and target device must be **directly bound to project** (no topology lookup). This is the key difference from "Update Organization Device HMS Read Time" API (organization level allows topology lookup to validate gateway device); calling project-level API without directly bound device returns non-zero `code` (business code `DRCErrCodeDeviceNotInProject`). Effect: after successful call, server distributes the latest read_time via real-time channel to other online terminals at both project and organization levels.
