# Delete a price tier

`DELETE /public/v1/price-tiers/{id}`

Soft-deletes the tier. It stops applying to new orders immediately; order items already priced
by it keep the frozen version they reference, so their prices don't change. Its removal from
statewide marketplace price discovery propagates asynchronously, so a 204 confirms the tier was
deleted, not that every buyer-facing surface has dropped it yet. Deleting an unknown or
already-deleted tier returns 404.

Required permission: `settings_permissions_price_tiers`.
