# Deleting Droplets by Tag

`DELETE /v2/droplets`

To delete **all** Droplets assigned to a specific tag, include the `tag_name`
query parameter set to the name of the tag in your DELETE request. For
example, `/v2/droplets?tag_name=$TAG_NAME`.

This endpoint requires `tag:read` scope.

A successful request will receive a 204 status code with no body in response.
This indicates that the request was processed successfully.

## Query parameters

- `tag_name` string, required

## Response `204`

The action was successful and the response body is empty. This response has content-type set.

## Other responses

- `401` — Authentication failed due to invalid credentials.
- `404` — The resource was not found.
- `429` — The API rate limit has been exceeded.
- `500` — There was a server error.
- `default` — There was an unexpected error.
