# Archive identity

`DELETE /api/v2/identities/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.didlogic.com`
- URL: `https://app.didlogic.com/api/v2/identities/{id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Archive an identity.

**Important notes:**
- Identity is archived and becomes inactive
- Cannot delete primary/default identity
- Associated documents are preserved

## Path parameters

- `id` integer, required

## Response `200`

archives the identity

- object
  - `message` string, required: Success message
  - `identity_id` integer, required: Archived identity ID

## Other responses

- `401`: returns unauthorized
- `404`: returns not found
- `422`: returns forbidden
