# Moderate Participant

`POST /api/meetings/{call_id}/moderate`

Host moderation of one participant: mute their mic or remove them.

Identity travels in the body (identities contain ':'). Same trust
boundary as /end: any workspace member. Guard is a server-side
allowlist — see _moderation_allowed. Mute keeps Meet semantics (no
canPublish revoke, target may unmute); remove is disconnect-only (the
guest link stays valid; /reset-link is the escalation). Failures are
loud: 404/409/502/403, never a silent success.
