# Subscribe Channel

`POST /api/billing/channels/subscribe`

Start the subscribe flow with a chosen payment method.

Flow:
  1. Re-run the gate (races / stale frontend state).
  2. Validate method against the provider registry (rejects disabled).
  3. Re-check provider availability at this instant.
  4. Optionally persist ``workspaces.default_payment_method``.
  5. Ask the provider to ``start_subscribe`` (redirect for Stripe,
     intent row for credits, etc.).
